The entire thread is worth reading, it's got a treasure trove of interesting discussion and downloads. You AREallowed to share these maps with anyone and how much you want, it will be reward for the guy who made the program (and a bit for me as well) so go on and share it everywhere. I uploaded these on another place ( a French website for MC) if you want to check it out or if the links above stop working : I actually converted them using a program made by a guy named OPryzeLP, he has a Youtube chanel, but now he does stupid videos on MC Xbox 360 instead of programing more cool stuff. The original poster does state how he did it later in the thread:įor all the new people here (and also the ones who knew this page) i am going to reveal how i made these maps:
I don't know where to download the bin files (I don't even own a console machine capable of running Minecraft: Console Edition), but the worlds are available at this MCF thread. You'd be much better off making your own thread, because I'm most likely the only one that will know that someone posted a message here. I just tried using a resource pack to apply those colourmaps from Beta 1.7.3 in release 1.7.10 (including grass.png that I didn't show above), and it didn't make a difference ( side-by-side comparison), I'd imagine because the biome system is completely different, but it still depends on those same colourmaps.
However, this wouldn't stop someone from creating a colourmap that made foliage look the way it does in Beta 1.7.3 in much more modern versions of the game. I'll give it a quick go in Minecraft 1.8.9, since that uses resource packs I know. No guarantees that it'll work in modern versions of the game. This seed puts the beauty and versatility of the mountain generation on display, including mountain peaks in multiple environments all close together. I'm bloody blind, I was looking at those images linked and saw foliagecolor.png and watercolor.png, so here they are. This was one of the best views we could find for the new world generation for mountain ranges, and thus the perfect way to begin playing Minecraft 1.18. Nevertheless, here's all the search results if you want to double check. png, and I couldn't find anything that looked like a colourmap. I extracted Beta 1.6.6 (just had it on hand, should be no difference in rendering compared to Beta 1.7.3) and searched for all instances of. I don't think Beta 1.7.3 had a colourmap.
